Megumi Figure
Megumi Fushiguro has already decided that saving people cannot be an impartial exercise. He wants good people to have a chance at a fair life, and he is willing to make choices others might question. That conviction leads him to defend Yuji at the beginning of Jujutsu Kaisen.
The hand signs and summoned creatures associated with Megumi figures come from the Ten Shadows Technique. Behind them is a young sorcerer who can assess a battlefield carefully while finding it much harder to place the same value on his own survival.

Story and character
The people he chooses to protect
His sister Tsumiki is central to the way he sees the world. Her kindness challenges his impatience with people, and her situation gives his work an intensely personal urgency. His reserve can make that attachment easy to miss until a decision puts it at risk.
Megumi enters Jujutsu High with considerable ability. He is already a Grade 2 sorcerer during his first year, trusted with missions on his own. That competence explains his practical manner with Yuji: he knows enough about curses to understand how quickly a hopeful plan can go wrong.
Yet his judgment is not simply caution. He asks Gojo to help Yuji because he wants this particular person to live. It is an early glimpse of the loyalty behind his restraint, long before the classmates have learned to fight comfortably together.
What the Ten Shadows Technique asks of him
Megumi shapes shadows with his hands to summon shikigami. Divine Dogs and the winged Nue give his battles a different rhythm from Yuji’s close-range exchanges. Each summon has a role, and Megumi must think about the space, the opponent and the people around him.
The technique’s range can disguise how much depends on the person using it. Having another option available is different from believing he can win. Megumi’s tendency to stake everything on a final sacrifice becomes something Gojo challenges directly.
His incomplete Chimera Shadow Garden marks a change in that thinking. For a moment, he allows himself to imagine a more ambitious use of his own ability. The scene gives his usually contained expression an unfamiliar exhilaration: he is reaching for a victory he intends to claim himself.
The shadows make Megumi recognizable. His decisions about Yuji, Tsumiki and his own life explain the person directing them.
