Leon S. Kennedy Figure
Leon S. Kennedy arrives in Raccoon City as a new police officer. By Resident Evil 4, he is the agent sent to bring the president’s daughter home. The familiar hair remains, but the uniform, equipment and way he carries himself belong to very different points in his life.
Leon figures draw on that long history. An R.P.D. appearance recalls the outbreak he was barely prepared to face; later designs belong to missions undertaken with years of training and survival behind him.

Story and character
The rookie in the R.P.D. uniform
Resident Evil 2 gives Leon a disastrous first day. The city he comes to serve has been overwhelmed by the outbreak, and the police station offers no dependable refuge. He crosses paths with Claire Redfield, who is searching for her brother, and Ada Wong, whose intentions are harder to establish.
His police clothing is important to that first appearance. The original game and its remake render it differently, with the remake adding more realistic equipment and construction. Both present a young officer confronting something far beyond the job he expected.
The assignment to rescue Ashley
In Resident Evil 4, Leon’s government assignment takes him to rural Europe to find Ashley Graham. The search leads him into the territory of Los Illuminados, where a rescue mission becomes a struggle to keep both of them alive.
This is the period associated with his brown, shearling-collared jacket and the tactical clothing worn beneath it. Those clothes place a portrayal within the mission even when the jacket is absent. The original Resident Evil 4 and its remake have their own interpretations of the same part of his history.
The change from police officer to agent matters beyond the outfit. Leon now goes looking for the person he has been sent to recover, using skills acquired since Raccoon City. The outbreak remains behind him as experience, rather than as an event he has left entirely outside his life.
Raccoon City in Requiem
Resident Evil Requiem brings Leon into the ruins of Raccoon City. Capcom’s images of this later appearance show him in a jacket, carrying equipment that includes a hatchet. It returns a familiar survivor to the place associated with his first disaster.
The return places Leon in a city he once struggled to escape, with the experience of the intervening years visible in his later appearance. Requiem’s jacket and hatchet belong to that return, rather than to the rescue of Ashley or his first day with the R.P.D.
Leon’s appearances carry the distance between the officer entering Raccoon City and the experienced agent who returns to its ruins.
