Final Fantasy VII · Figure guide
Aerith Gainsborough Figures
Aerith grows flowers beneath Midgar’s plate, in a city where Shinra controls the power and much of everyday life. Meeting Cloud in the Sector 5 church brings a mercenary into a place she already knows how to care for.
Aerith figures carry reminders of that life in the pink dress, ribbon and flowers associated with her. Her connection to the planet gives those familiar details a wider context, as the flower seller leaves Midgar to travel with Cloud and the others.

The flowers and the church
Aerith sells flowers in the city and tends those growing in the church. Her routines give her a place within the Sector 5 undercity, with people and paths she knows beyond the party’s immediate mission.
In Remake, she guides Cloud through that neighborhood and readily takes the initiative in their conversations. His arrival interrupts an existing life. The flowers connect her to the city she lives in and to her habit of making room for life beneath its industrial structures.
Why Shinra wants her
Aerith is the last surviving descendant of the Cetra, who could communicate with the planet. She inherits that connection from her mother, Ifalna. Elmyra, who raises her in Midgar, gives her the home and family in which she grows up.
Shinra pursues Aerith because it wants access to the Cetra’s promised land. Her heritage is therefore something she has to live with under observation and pursuit. Escaping the company means claiming a future it has tried to decide for her.
A member of the traveling party
Outside Midgar, Aerith experiences the wider world with the friends who helped rescue her. Rebirth gives that journey room for conversation, teasing and shared discoveries as they follow Sephiroth’s trail.
She also fights beside them, using a staff and magic to attack, heal and support the group. The staff belongs to that active role in the adventure. Her familiar clothes can recall both the person tending the church’s flowers and the companion learning what lies beyond the city.
The flowers begin in a place Aerith tends herself. Her journey takes that care for living things into a world whose future concerns her directly.
