Final Fantasy VII · Figure guide
Cloud Strife Figures
Cloud arrives in Midgar with the Buster Sword and a practiced answer about his past: he used to be in SOLDIER. Tifa knows him from before that story, when they were children in Nibelheim and he dreamed of becoming someone like Sephiroth.
Cloud figures revisit a character whose confidence is easier to see than to understand. The sword and uniform recall his wish to be a hero, but Final Fantasy VII gradually asks him to face the experiences and friendships behind the image he carries.

The job Tifa finds for him
Tifa brings Cloud into contact with Avalanche, and he accepts paid work against Shinra. At first, he treats the reactor mission as a contract. The people affected by it, and his growing involvement with the group, make that distance increasingly difficult to maintain.
His dark uniform and enormous sword belong to the mercenary introduced in Midgar. The controlled stance and terse replies fit the reputation he wants to establish. Life around Seventh Heaven also puts him in situations that his combat skills cannot settle, allowing awkwardness and uncertainty to emerge.
Nibelheim and the story he remembers
The pursuit of Sephiroth takes the party beyond Midgar and back toward Cloud’s hometown. Cloud recounts a mission to the reactor at Mount Nibel, with Tifa as the guide. Familiar places and people appear in a version of events that does not resolve every question about his role.
In the original Final Fantasy VII, understanding those memories becomes essential to his recovery. Tifa helps him revisit their shared past in the Lifestream. Accepting what actually happened lets Cloud return to his companions with a clearer sense of who he is.
The Buster Sword before Midgar
Crisis Core follows Zack Fair, the SOLDIER whose friendship with Cloud is central to that missing history. Zack carries the Buster Sword before Cloud does; its earlier owner, Angeal, treats it as something to preserve as well as a weapon.
The broad blade therefore connects Cloud to people who came before his arrival in Midgar. It carries a different history from another sword he might equip during the adventure. Recognizing it can recall Zack and the circumstances that bring Cloud into the opening of Final Fantasy VII.
Cloud’s familiar appearance introduces him as someone certain of his own story. The journey gives the people beside him a chance to help him find the truth of it.
