Dragon Ball · Figure guide
Son Gohan Figures
Gohan wants to become a scholar, but danger reaches him before he is old enough to choose much of his own life. His power first erupts when Raditz hurts Goku. Training, battles and the need to protect other people keep calling it out of him afterward.
Gohan figures follow a child growing into an adult with his own family. The clothes associated with Piccolo, the orange gi of the Buu conflict and the Beast transformation connect his appearance to different teachers and crises.

Story and character
Piccolo’s pupil
After Goku’s death in the battle with Raditz, Piccolo takes Gohan away to prepare him for the arriving Saiyans. Survival and training force the frightened child to develop skills he will need when Vegeta and Nappa reach Earth.
Their relationship continues beyond that first necessity. Piccolo becomes Gohan’s teacher and protector, and the purple fighting clothes associated with him give the bond a lasting visual presence. Gohan also wears battle armor on Namek, where another set of circumstances demands different equipment.
The child who faces Cell
Training with Goku in the Room of Spirit and Time prepares Gohan for the Cell Games. Goku believes his son has the power to win, while Gohan struggles with the violence expected of him.
The destruction of Android 16 and the danger to his friends bring that tension to a breaking point, and he transforms into Super Saiyan 2. The upright golden hair and harder expression belong to a battle in which his anger releases power he has not yet learned to manage.
His final Kamehameha comes after Goku’s death, with his father encouraging him from the afterlife. The familiar father-and-son imagery recalls that support while Gohan fights Cell himself.
The power Elder Kai draws out
In the conflict with Majin Buu, Elder Kai unlocks Gohan’s latent potential. The resulting Ultimate appearance keeps his hair black. Kibito gives him an orange uniform like his father’s before he returns to fight.
The change in clothing therefore follows a particular preparation for battle. It does not erase Piccolo’s influence or make the black hair a return to the inexperienced child seen earlier.
Gohan Beast in SUPER HERO
Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO brings the adult Gohan back into battle to rescue his daughter Pan. His bond with Piccolo again becomes central when seeing his teacher in danger during the fight with Cell Max triggers the Beast transformation.
The tall, pale hair and red eyes identify this later appearance. Behind the change is an adult who has pursued the scholarly life he wanted, then has to use his strength to protect the people closest to him.
Gohan’s changing age and clothes follow a fighter shaped by Goku and Piccolo, with ambitions and relationships of his own.
