Ichigo Figure

Ichigo Kurosaki takes Rukia’s power because a Hollow is threatening his family. The borrowed role of Soul Reaper soon becomes a responsibility he chooses for himself. In Bleach, protecting people keeps drawing him into a world that knows more about his own origins than he does.

Ichigo figures follow the changes in Zangetsu, his black robes and the Hollow power that surfaces during his battles. The broad blade, compact Bankai sword and later paired blades belong to different points in his understanding of what he carries within him.

Tensa Zangetsu, Getsuga Tensho effects and alternate faces let you change more than Ichigo’s stance.

The roughly 15.5 cm S.H.Figuarts includes Hollow and post-Hollow expressions, three pairs of extra hands and a dedicated base. Movable robe sections let the clothing follow the action you arrange.

A long sword, a short sword and the later black-and-white outfit distinguish Dual Zangetsu.

Choose this articulated S.H.Figuarts for Ichigo after the reforging, rather than the earlier single black Bankai blade. When planning a two-handed stance, leave room for the swords as well as his shoulders.

Torn robes sweep around a low, forward-moving Ichigo above the rocky Precious G.E.M. base.

MegaHouse lists the sculpture at about 25 cm high. Its black Tensa Zangetsu and damaged clothing belong to a different appearance from Dual Zangetsu. The pose is fixed; the whole scene needs a place on the shelf.

Story and character

The responsibility Rukia leaves with him

Ichigo could see spirits before he met Rukia. Becoming a Substitute Soul Reaper gives him a way to intervene when they are threatened, alongside the school life and family responsibilities he already has in Karakura Town.

When Rukia is taken back to the Soul Society, that obligation becomes personal. He goes after her with his friends, opposing authorities who regard her punishment as lawful. His willingness to cross that boundary changes how several Soul Reapers see him.

Bankai and the Hollow mask

Training for the fight with Byakuya leads Ichigo to Tensa Zangetsu. His first Bankai concentrates the force of his large sword into a narrow black blade and changes his robes into a long dark coat. The reduced size accompanies a dramatic increase in speed.

The Hollow presence within him complicates that progress. Its intervention can save his life while threatening the control he wants over his own body. Training with the Visored gives him a way to use the mask deliberately, though later battles reveal how fragile that control can be.

These changes are tied to his fear of hurting the people beside him. An increase in strength matters little to Ichigo if it makes him unable to recognize whom he is attacking.

What the two Zangetsu blades mean

The Thousand-Year Blood War forces Ichigo to confront his family history. His father’s Soul Reaper power and his mother’s Quincy heritage are both part of him, alongside the Hollow power linked to her past.

Learning that history changes his relationship with the figures he has encountered in his inner world. The reforging of Zangetsu produces two blades, following an acceptance of powers he had understood separately or feared as intrusions.

The paired swords therefore belong to a later understanding of himself. They do not erase his earlier fights or the people who taught him. Rukia’s first act of trust has led him toward a responsibility he can finally carry with a clearer knowledge of his own identity.

Zangetsu’s changing forms trace Ichigo’s training and discoveries about his family, from his first borrowed power to the blades reforged during the war.
