My Hero Academia · Figure guide
All Might Figure
All Might smiles so that the people waiting to be rescued can breathe again. The enormous build, raised fist and bright hero costumes are part of a public promise: someone strong enough has arrived. My Hero Academia lets Izuku Midoriya meet the injured man who has to keep that promise.
All Might figures draw on both the Symbol of Peace and Toshinori Yagi’s life beyond that role. His muscular and slender appearances belong to the same person, whose influence on the story continues after his power begins to run out.

Story and character
The man behind the Symbol of Peace
An earlier fight with All For One leaves Toshinori with severe injuries and a limit on the time he can spend in his muscular form. By the time Izuku meets him, his public career depends on concealing the extent of that damage.
The contrast can be startling. His hero persona seems to offer unlimited reassurance, while the man beneath it has to ration his strength. The smile becomes more meaningful once the story reveals how deliberately he maintains it in pain.
His American-themed attack names and red, white and blue costumes suit the expansive public presence he has built. The clenched fist at the end of a difficult battle carries the same obligation: frightened people need to see him standing.
Passing One For All to Izuku
All Might is the eighth holder of One For All, an ability passed from one successor to another. Izuku’s instinct to help Bakugo convinces him to entrust it to a boy born without a Quirk. Preparing that boy becomes a responsibility he cannot meet through strength alone.
Teaching exposes the gap between being able to do something and explaining how another person can learn it. Izuku needs patient instruction, physical preparation and guidance from people with approaches different from his own. All Might has to make room for those teachers while learning what his student needs from him.
His final stand against All For One at Kamino uses the power he has left. Retirement changes what he can offer Izuku, but it does not release him from their bond. He must find ways to stay present as a mentor after the public certainty of the Symbol of Peace is gone.
His heroic build recalls the reassurance he offered a whole society. His slender form brings the work of protecting and teaching back to Toshinori himself.
